To provide a card conveyance device for removing a foreign matter attached to a card, and enabling a user to smoothly insert a card into the card conveyance device.

The card conveyance device 100 includes: conveyance means 2a1 and 2a2 which are brought into contact with an inserted card CA thereby conveying the card CA to a prescribed conveyance direction; and foreign matter removing means 9a1 and 9a2 which slide on the surface of the card in a direction opposite from the conveyance direction at the same position in the conveyance direction as the contact position where the conveyance means 2a1 and 2a2 are brought into contact with the card CA or at a position downstream from the contact position in the conveyance direction. Thus, the inserted card is prevented from being brought into contact with the foreign removing means before the card is brought into contact with the conveyance means. The insertion of the card therefore is prevented from being disturbed due to the foreign matter removing means.
