The card conveying apparatus conveys a rectangular flat card 1 from a card supply position 2 to a card discharge position 3 while performing a variety of operations and keeping the card horizontal. The apparatus includes at least a preprocessing first conveyor structure 5 in the card supply side and a postprocessing second belt conveyor structure 6 in the card discharge side. The first belt conveyor structure 5 and the second belt conveyor structure 6 are driven by respective independent drive mechanisms.
