To provide a card edge connector that has excellent operability and durability and prevents damages to parts at insertion/ejection of a card edge type of printed board and can be manufactured inexpensively.
The connector includes fixed connector housing 31 fixed to a printed board 10 to be connected and having a first contact pin 35 electrically connected to the printed board 10, and a pivoting connector housing 32 pivotally supported by the fixed connector housing 31 and having a second contact pin 36 to be electrically contacted to a pad 21 of a printed board 20 to be connected. When a card edge type printed board 10 is inserted into a card edge connector 30, there is formed at the fixed connector housing 31 a contacting portion 38 for moving the pivoting connector housing 32 at an opened position which is contacted with the card edge type printed board 10 to a closed position.
