PURPOSE: To meet something wrong in a card feeding so speedily by releasing a link motion between a pickup roller and a feed roller when a sensor means detected a card tip, and then resetting the link motion between these rollers when detecting the card rear end the other way.
CONSTITUTION: The tip of a card C taken into a conveying passage from a card storage part by a pickup roller 12 reaches a feed roller 14 before long. As this feed roller is interlocked with the pickup roller, successively the card is further fed to the destination of a conveying passage 11 by the feed roller. At this time, since there is provided a clutch means 37 which releases a link motion between the pickup roller and the feed roller at a time when a sensor means 19 detected the tip of the card, the pickup roller comes to a stop by action of a clutch means when the card tip comes into contact with the feed roller and the sensor means has detected the card tip, and afterward, at time of detecting the rear end, both these rollers are reset to the interlocked state.
