Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card forced discharge mechanism which can be installed even in a small space and can be installed later as an option.
SOLUTION: The card forced discharge mechanism 1 loaded in a card reader and capable of forcedly discharging a card 3 stayed in a card carrier 4 is provided with a carriage which can be moved along the carrying direction of the card 3, a pawl 8 formed on the carriage and allowed to be projected/retreated to/from the card carrier 4, a carriage moving means for moving the carriage to a pawl retreating position 11 and a pawl projecting position 12, and a pawl projecting/retreating mechanism 10 for retreating the pawl 8 from the card carrier 4 when the carriage is located on the pawl retreating position 11 and projecting the pawl 8 to the card carrier 4 when the carriage is located on the pawl projecting position 12. The pawl projecting/retreating mechanism 10 comprises an arm 35 for rotating the pawl 8 to the pawl retreating position 11 and the pawl projecting position 12, a stopper 43 formed on an arm 35 and a cam 44 for regulating the retreat of the pawl 8 when a stopper 43 formed along the carrying direction of the card 3 is abutted on the cam 44.
