To provide a card key type locking device capable of ensuring crime prevention security standards while controlling burden imposed on costs by a simple mechanical constitution.
The card key type locking device 1 comprises a bolt member 3 movable in the longitudinal direction between a locking position and an unlocking position, each check member 4 capable of being constrained to the locking position by movably engaging with the cross direction to each fitting section 12 thereof and a thin plate-like card key 5 which can make approach operation so as to make the check member 4 advance and retreat, the check members 4 are equipped with notches 13a which can release the engagement to the fitting sections 12 by advanced and retreated positions, and a plurality of check members are parallel arranged in the direction of the width at a position facing the front end of the operating card key 5 and, at the same time, a plurality of fitting sections 12 capable of being engaged with each of them are formed in the bolt member 3.
