A card processing unit 5 provided with a communication antenna 8 for performing communication with a non-contact IC card 2 includes: two conveyance rollers 15 in contact with the front surface of the non-contact IC card 2 for conveying the card; pad rollers 16 which are provided facing the conveyance rollers 15 and are energized towards the conveyor rollers 15; fixed shafts 17 that project to both sides of the pad rollers 16 in the axial direction and rotatably support the pad rollers 16; and coil springs 18 for energizing the fixed shafts 17, on both sides of the pad rollers 16 in the axial direction, in the direction in which the pad rollers 16 face the conveyance rollers 15.
