Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foreign matter from entering a card processing passage from a card insertion slot and to enable a card to be taken out of the card processing passage even if a power failure occurs during use.
SOLUTION: When a foreign matter is inserted into a card insertion slot and discharge opening 7a, a shutter 12 is regulated by a stopper piece 24 from swinging. When a card P is inserted into the card insertion slot and discharge opening 7a, a card detection lever 8 detects that and a 1st solenoid 18 is powered to release the shutter 12 from being regulated by the stopper piece 24 from swinging. When the card P is taken in the card processing passage 6, the 1st solenoid 18 is powered OFF and the shutter 12 is regulated by the stopper piece 24 from swinging. If a power failure occurs after the card is inserted, a dial knob is rotated by hand to rotate a 1st driving roller 35 and the card P is thus moved as shown by an arrow B. The moving card P rotates the shutter 12 clockwise around a shaft 13 to fall down, and the card P is discharged from the card insertion slot and discharge opening 7a.
