Abstract:
To provide a card reader configured to facilitate discharging a card.SOLUTION: A card conveyance path 4 conveys a card 2 inserted through an insertion/discharge slot 4a. A sensor detects the card 2 conveyed on the card conveyance path 4. A first roller 41 and a second roller 42 convey the card 2 on the card conveyance path 4. The first roller 41 is arranged in the front close to the insertion/discharge slot. The second roller 42 is arranged behind the first roller 41. When the sensor detects that the card 2 cannot be discharged with the first roller 41, the second roller 42 conveys the card 2 to a position as deeper as possible. Thereafter, the card 2 is discharged to the front by the second roller 42 at a higher rotation speed than usual.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
