Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader that enables prevention of phishing in a manual type card reader, and enables suppression of a change in a movement velocity of a card upon insertion and pulling out.SOLUTION: The manual type card reader in which insertion and pulling out of a card 2 are manually performed comprises: discharge means 12 for causing the card 2 to be moved to a pull-out side in contact with the card 2; and pull-out prevention means 13 for piercing the card 2, and preventing the card 2 from being pulled out. Further, the card reader comprises a movement mechanism that causes the discharge means 12 and/or the pull-out prevention means 13 to be moved between a retreat position where the discharge means 12 and/or the pull-out prevention means 13 are/is retreated so as to not contact with the card 2 and an action position where the discharge means 12 and/or the pull-out prevention means 13 act/acts on the card 2.
