To solve the problems of a conventional card settlement device that an illegal operator analyzes a circuit and program by an actual signal while the device has no authentication function and starts programs of a card settlement part when a power supply is turned on.
An authentication part power supply and a card settlement power supply part are installed independently of each other, and the card settlement power supply part is not turned on until an operator of the card settlement device completes authentication with an RFID card. A device operator having no right to start the card settlement device cannot start the card settlement device, so that circuit analysis and program analysis can be prevented in the case of theft, and consequently, forgery of the card settlement device is also prevented.
