To provide a card socket preventing malfunction of a card ejection mechanism, with an excellent operability, and yet having a small projection area.
The card socket is provided with a slider 40 capable of sliding in a card insertion and removal direction, and a locker arm 60 equipped with a fulcrum part as well as a first and a second pressed parts 62, 64 set in opposition interposing the fulcrum. When a first force is added to the first pressed part 62, the locker arm 60 moves toward a slider 40 side to prevent it from sliding toward the card ejection direction. When a second force is added to the second pressed part 64, the locker arm 60 moves away from the slider 40 against the first force. With this, the slider 40 is enabled to slide toward the card ejection direction.
