PURPOSE: To prevent a card being used by persons other than a card owner, by collating the fingerprint of the card owner with a hologram recorded on the card.

CONSTITUTION: This card system collates a card 1, on which a hologram 3 having a bit of information related to a part of user's body, for example, fingerprint 16 is recorded, with a personal user. In the case of the use of this card 1, a carrying and ejecting part 8 which carries and ejects the card 1, a placing part 9 on which a part of user's body should be placed, a light source part 10 which projects the light to a part of the body placed on this part 9, and a card reader 6 are used, and this card reader 1 detects presence/absence of the diffracted light after the diffracted light from a part of the body is diffracted by the hologram 3 of the card 1 set to a prescribed position by the carrying and ejecting part 8. That is, the fingerprint of the card owner himself is preliminarily recorded as the hologram on the card, and complete coincidence between the fingerprint of the person who uses the card and the hologram on the card is detected and confirmed by the card reader.
