Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card width narrowing structure of a reader-writer capable of simplifying positioning and the load management of a spring at the time of assembly and at the time of maintenance by a simple structure and surely positioning and direction-matching an access head to a card without obstructing the carriage of the card.
SOLUTION: This structure is provided with a pressurizing member 16 energized by spring means 7 and 15 so as to pressurize an information storage card in a width direction orthogonal to the carrying direction in a card carrying path 1a and the access head 2 is integrated with the pressurizing member 16 and supported tiltably within a surface parallel to the main surface of the card. Thus, the information storage part of the card and the access head 2 are surely and easily positioned and direction-matched and the generation of data read/write errors is suppressed.
