Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the forgery of an unneeded card, to recover the unneeded card for reutilization, and at the same time to minimize the dimensions of a stack area for stacking the card.
SOLUTION: The card reader/writer 1 comprises an insertion opening 3 where a card 2 is inserted, a read/write section 4 for reading data that are recorded in the inserted card 2 and at the same time writing specific data in the card 2, and a stack section 5 for stacking a fixed number of cards 2. Only the card 2 that needs to be returned is returned to the insertion opening 3, and the card 2 that has already been used is stacked in the stack section 5. When the total number of stack cards 2b in a stacked state exceeds a fixed number, a means 6 for recovering the surplus stack card 2b is provided.
