Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a drug for cardiovascular diseases such as cardiac insufficiency and hypertension which contains 17-(3-furyl)-and 17β-(4-pyridazinyl)-5β,14β- androstane derivs. which effect the cardiovascular system. CONSTITUTION: This drug contains a compd. expressed by the formula as the effective component. In the formula, the substituent at the 17-th position makes α- or β-configuration, Y is O or guanidinoimino if the bond to the third position is a double bond, and Y is H, OR<4> , SR<4> when the bond at the third position is a single and α- or β-configuration, (R<4> is H, methyl, a 2 to 6C alkyl group, etc.,), R is vil, 3-furyl, 4-pyridazinyl, R<1> is H, methyl, ethyl or n-propyl which has substituents of OH or NR<5> R<6> , (R<5> , R<6> are each H, methyl, etc.,), R<2> is H or bonded to R<3> to form an oxysilane ring, R<3> is H, and the compd. is for example, 17β-(3-furyl)-5β-androstane-3β,14β,17α-triol.
