A casing 1 having an L shape, a plurality of trapezoidal casings 2 having the same shape which are connected by the casing 1, and a casing 3 the end part of the trapezoidal shape of which has a tapered shape are connected by a hinge 4 on each end section of the casings 1, 2 and 3 to constitute this care assisting arm. The care assisting arm is formed of one or a plurality of cables 6 which are fixed to the casing 3, and passed through the inside of the casings 2 and 3, and a handle 5 which is attached to the ends of the cables 6, and can vertically move.
