Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book storage management system for processing based on the thickness dimension of a book.SOLUTION: A container information database DB3 stores book identification data on the books housed in respective containers by associating with identification data of the containers. When returning the book, a management device 30 accesses the container information database DB3 along with acquisition of the identification data of the book to be returned, specifies the container having an open space based on the dimension of the to-be-returned book corresponding to the identification data of the book to be returned, updates and stores the container information database DB3 as needed, and commands the specified container to be conveyed.
