To provide a care receiver movement detector which rapidly announces the bed-leaving preparation movement of a care receiver, easily arranges a sensor part at a desired position so as to obtain usability, and also is inconspicuously installed so as to hardly make trouble.
The care receiver movement detector 1 includes: an attachment base 3 attached to the frame 21 of a bed 20 on the head side of the care receiver 15; a sensor storage body 6 supported in an engagement state so as to be slidably movable on the guide groove 3a of the attachment base 3; a PSD sensor 7 stored inside the storage body 6; and a controller 9 for determining whether the care receiver 15 is during the bed-leaving preparation movement or not based on the output signal of the sensor 7. The guide groove 3a is extended in the width direction of the bed 20, and a stopper 8 blocks the sliding movement of the sensor storage body 6. The PSD sensor 7 detects presence/absence of a detected body at a specified place on the bed 20. The controller 9 outputs an announcement signal when the care receiver 15 is determined to be during the bed-leaving preparation movement.
