PURPOSE: To provide a loading controller for and engine-driven vehicle which is equipped with a variable capacity type hydraulic pump for variable speed with which the generation of shook on a vehicle is prevented on the start and completion of the loading traveling work and the selection of the stable ordinary traveling and loading traveling is permitted.

CONSTITUTION: A controller 37 judges if the traveling state is loading traveling or the ordinary traveling on the basis of the basis the operation quantity of an accelerator pedal 7, lift lever La, or tilt lever Lb, and the opening degree of a throttle valve for adjusting the number of engine revolution is set through a step motor 38. Further, within each prescribed time ta, tb from the judgement for the selection of the ordinary traveling and loading traveling, the controller 37 controls the step motor 38 so that the opening/closing speed of the throttle valve becomes less than the opening/closing speed in the ordinary traveling, and the generation of the shock in selection is prevented.
