To provide an inexpensive cargo handling device capable of improving a cargo loading rate by reducing projected amount from a cargo box of a cargo loading platform, efficiently carrying out cargo loading and unloading work without so much manual work and improving a cargo loading rate by eliminating a dead space in the cargo box.
The cargo loading platform 1 is constituted by connecting a head end side platform 15 to a base end side platform 14 free to revolve in the vertical direction. The head end side platform 15 is made to make contact with or approach the cargo box B at a vertical position above the base end side platform 14. The projecting quantity from the cargo box B is set roughly the same as the projected amount from the cargo box B (locking device on door outer surface) of the head end side platform 14 at the vertical position by roughly continuing it to a floor surface b1 of the cargo box B in a state of lifting the base end side platform 14 up to roughly floor surface height of the cargo box B.
