PURPOSE: To provide a floating body having a ballast tank which is normally used as a floating pier, and in a case of using it as a shipsway for bringing a ship ashore, form an inclined slip by filling water into the ballast tank located at the opposite side of the shore.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of floats having ballast tank inside respectively are linked thru buffer device 10 and jointing device 12 toward the longitudinal direction, forming a set of floating body 1 and is moored to the shore 5. In the normal situation, the body 1 is used as a floating pier 6. In case, a ship is to be brought ashore, water is filled inside of the ballast tank 2 being located at the opposite side of the shore, and the whole floating body turns into a shipsway with an inclined slip for the ship. On the surface thereof, a guide path 4 is formed by rollers 9 whereon a ship is pulled up by the drag of a winch and the like which is established on the shore, and a ship is brought onto the shore.
