The carpet 10 for the vehicle placed on the floor in the cabin has a flat surface-like base material 10; and the pile 20 formed on the base material 10 and is formed by looping-sewing an outer periphery of the base material 10 by design threads 30. As trimming threads, a twisted thread having at least a core thread and a twisted thread in which processing for twining with the core thread and fluffing it is performed is preferable. Further, a mall thread 40 having at least the core thread 41 and a trim thread 42 in which processing for winding on the core thread 41 and fluffing it is performed is preferable. When an upper end of the pile is lowered as it is directed from a center side to an outer peripheral side near an outer periphery on the base material, the continuous feeling and sense of unity from the pile to the looping-sewing part can be further made well.
