This carriage conveying device is provided with a carriage 11 conveyed along the prescribed path, a drive chain 12 arranged to be moved along the carriage conveyance path, and a pusher unit 13 releasably connected to the drive chain 12 and advancing the carriage 11 with the tractive force of the drive chain 12 when it is connected. The pusher unit 13 is constituted of a unit main body extended along the carriage conveyance path, bendable in at least one of the vertical and lateral directions, and having the prescribed length, a connecting tool 43 provided at the tip of the pusher main body, and a connection releasing tool 44 provided at the rear end of the pusher main body. The unit main body is formed of a chain.
