Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce inertia and to increase operating speed by forming directly the circuit pattern for connection of a magnetic head to the outside face of a carriage providing to form integrally plural arms holding the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The carriage 13 providing plural arms 13a holding the magnetic head 3 at an accumulated state is formed integrally by the die-casting of aluminum, etc., the circuit pattern 14 for connection of the head 3 is formed directly to the outside face. Then, since the carriage 13 is formed integrally without a joint and wide space is secured, the pattern 14 is realized. Then, the pattern 14 is formed as following, first of all, a thin insulating layer is formed by coating resin to the prescribed position of the outside face of the carriage 13. A copper foil is adhered on the layer, a resist coating film like a wiring pattern is formed, an unwanted copper foil is removed by etching and the head 3 is connected with the pattern 14 by a wire 9. Thus, the mass and the inertia of the carriage 13 is reduced and access time is shortened.
