To provide a carriage positioning and locking device wherein the structure is simple for cost reduction and a carriage can move at a specified pitch.

The carriage 1 is pushed to be moved by the kicker hitting plate 2 which is fixed to the lower face of the carriage plate of the carriage 1 by means of a carriage moving means by a kicker arm 7 which is pivotally supported 8 so as to be rockable inclined forward on the kicker frame 4 which is guided on the guide rail 5 laid on floor and moves forward and backward by a cylinder 3 and is always erected perpendicular by its self-weight, and a stopper member 10, which is pivotally supported 12 so as to be rockable forward and backward on the support member 11 fixed at the positioning position at the moving end of the carriage 1 and is always erected perpendicularly by its self-weight, is arranged. The stopper member 10 is restricted so as to be erected perpendicularly by the advancing kicker arm 4, and the kicker hitting plate 2 abuts on the stopper member 10 to position the carriage 1, and also holds the kicker hitting plate 2 between the kicker arm 7 and the stopper member 10 to lock the carriage 1.
