PURPOSE: To improve working environment and to prevent air pollution by providing a hood for dust collection to the bottom surface of the base frame of a carriage type casting device so that dust and soot can be captured near the generating source.

CONSTITUTION: A titled device consists of a hood 7 for smoke collection, a carriage side duct 6 connected thereto, a fixing side duct 9, a lifting type duct 8 provided in the lower part of the duct 6, a means 11 for closing the duct 9 and a dust collector. The hood 7 is provided on the bottom surface of the carriage on which a ladle 5 contg. a molten metal is placed. The molten metal is poured from said ladle 5 via a pouring pipe 3 into the casting mold 2 under the carriage. The smoke generated in this stage is treated through the hood 7, the duct 6, the duct 8 and the duct 9 in the dust collector.
