To provide a carriage with a stair ascending/descending function capable of changing the angle of auxiliary legs without requiring human power, and ascending and descending stairs smoothly.
The carriage is provided with a main body frame 3 on which a burden 1 is loaded, a pair of left and right crawlers 4 attached on the rear side of the main body frame and rotated by a driving force of a drive unit provided in the main body frame, a pair of left and right auxiliary legs attached in the center of the main body frame, and rotated and fixed at an arbitrary angle by the driving force of the drive unit or any other power units provided in the main body frame, a tilt angle detector 13 attached to the main body frame and detecting the tilt angle of the main body frame, and a controller receiving a signal from the tilt angle detector and controlling the operation of the crawlers and the auxiliary legs within a range not exceeding the stair ascending/descending limit angle of the crawlers.
