This carriage is equipped with a seat 8 comprising a backrest 9 and a seating face 10 supporting a user, and carries the user in a seated state, but cannot carry the user in a lying condition. The seat 8 is formed into a double structure comprising a front side seat 9a and a rear side seat 9b at least at one part of the backrest 9, and the carriage is equipped with an opening/closing means 11 capable of switching a state that the front side seat 9a is integrated and a state that the front side seat 9a is partly or entirely separated sideways. In a state that the opening/closing means 11 is opened and the front side seat 9a is partly or entirely separated sideways, the user can be supported by the rear side seat 9b.
