To provide a carrier conveyor capable of easily attaining backward travel in maintenance work, by easily and surely preventing a collision of mutual carrying objects, regardless of a driving control circuit, when storing and carrying the carrying objects by using a carrying body having the total length shorter than the total length of the carrying objects.
This carrier conveyor is constituted so that a collision preventive mechanism 130 has a sensing roller 131 sinking by contacting on a conveyor track with the carrying body 110 traveling precedently, a sensing lever 132 rotatably journaling this sensing roller 131 to one end and rocking in response to floating-sinking operation of the sensing roller 131, a connecting rod 133 having one end connected to the rocking other end of this sensing lever 132, and a stopper lever 134 regulating travel to a predetermined storage carrying interval Ls by protruding the carrying body 110 traveling succeedingly on the conveyor track when the sensing roller 131 contacts with the carrying body 110 traveling precedently by connecting one end to the other end of this connecting rod 133.
