A carrier device for a power driven working appliance such as a wood-cutting saw or the like has at least one shoulder belt 10 and/or a waist belt 14. The working tool is hung from the carrier device by a supporting rope 18, and both the ends of the supporting rope 18 are connected to the carrier device. In order to facilitate the use of the working tool on an inclined surface or a rugged surface, the working tool is hung from the supporting rope 18 in such a manner that the working tool is movable along the supporting rope.
