PURPOSE: To make it possible to surely insert and feed a recording medium of a case storage type into an inspection section or to insert and store the medium into a stocker, by providing a conveying mechanism for conveying articles such as recording mediums of a case storage type, in the conveying direction while the articles are held between belts or rollers, and a pusher mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: When a transmission shaft 36 or 38 is rotated, the rotation is transmitted to a pulley 108 through bearings 124, gears 122, 116 and a pulley shaft 114, and as a result, a conveying belt 100 travels. A recording medium 105 introduced from a hopper or an inspection unit, is conveyed in the conveying direction 106 while it is held between the conveying belt 100 and the rollers 104. When the recording medium is conveyed up to a specified position, a linear actuator 158 is actuated to extend a drive rod 162 to rotate a lever 154 clockwise. A pusher arm 144 is raised being guided in a guide groove 152 in association with the rotation of the lever 154 while it is advanced, and the front end of the pusher arm 144 pushes out the trailing end part of the recording medium in the conveying direction.
