Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier material for electrodes, capable of sufficiently withstanding a high potential and a strongly acidic environment and having a high specific surface area and a high ORR activity while having high conductivity, and an electrode material using the carrier material for electrodes, and also to provide a production method for simply and easily obtaining such a carrier material for electrodes.SOLUTION: A carrier material for electrodes contains a titanium oxide having an oxygen defect and a titanium oxide having no oxygen defect. In the carrier material for electrodes, the ratio (b/a) between a peak area (a) in a pore size of 0-190 nm and a peak area (b) of pores with a pore size of 50 nm or more, the peak areas being calculated from a Log differential pore volume distribution of pore sizes, is 0.3 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
