Title:
CARRIER STOPPING MECHANISM UPON BRANCHING VERTICALLY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6399701
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit a carrier to be branched vertically surely and correctly without causing inversion phenomenon, by a method wherein a holding means, holding the carrier on a vertical track rail so as not to drop it, is provided above a branching part. CONSTITUTION:When a carrier 100 on a vertical track rail 21 is branched vertically onto a horizontal track rail 22, a branching rail 23 is connected to the vertical track rail and the carrier 100 is elevated through a straight rail 26. When the carrier 100 has approached to a position opposing to a linear motor 28, the linear motor is excited toward elevating direction and the carrier 100 is fixed to the vertical track rail 21. The branch rail 23 is switched during this period of time. When the switching has been finished, the excitation of the linear motor 28 is cut off and the carrier 100 drops by the gravity thereof, then, passes through a curved guide rail 27 and advances onto the horizontal track rail 22.
