PURPOSE: To carry a cargo on a cargo receive base in a storage part immediately when the storage part where the cargo is stored when the cargo arrives at the cargo receive base for carry-in and the cargo is put on the cargo receive base is prepared even if there is no storage part while a travelling body advances for the cargo receive base for carry-in so as to improve efficiency of the carry-in work of automatic warehouse.
CONSTITUTION: When a cargo W is put in a cargo loading part 13a at a place for putting down cargo 13 from a carrying vehicle, a storage controller 15 judges the cargo loading part 13a in which the cargo W is put, and a carry-in demand signal is output to a ground controller 12. An unmanned fork lift 10 at a shelter position B travels to the cargo loading part 13a to put the cargo W on a fork. Then, the unmanned fork lift 10 travels to a cargo receive base 6a for carry-in to put the cargo down on the cargo receive base 6a. The ground controller 12 judges whether there is a storage part 3 in which the cargo W is carried in or not to control a stacker crane 4 through a crane controller 5 based on the results of the judgement in order to store the cargo W in a predetermined storage part 3.
