Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten carrying time and to minimize the cooling of a billet developed in the carrying process by constituting a carrying bucket of a scooping plate inserted between the billet and a supporting table and a backup plate fitted to the scooping plate.
CONSTITUTION: When the billet B is heated in the half-molten state, a supporting shaft in a robot rotates to quickly push the thin scooping plate in the bucket 4d arranged at the tip part inbetween the lower surface of the billet B as a blank and the supporting table for supporting the billet in the carrying bucket so as to scoop up the billet. Then, the supporting shaft is rotated to move the bucket 4d on the forming machine 3. When the bucket 4d reaches above a die hole 3d, since a shrinkable arm rotates the bucket 4d to the backup plate side, the bucket is turned over, the billet B is slipped on the backup plate stood on the scooping plate 4d and dropped to the die hole 3d. By this method, the carrying time can be shortened.
