To provide a carrying case which enables a user to safely carry electronic equipment without rattling, to use the equipment without taking out from the case, and to easily take out the equipment at need.

This is a carrying case which comprises an upper box and a lower box which constitute a closed box by making the upper and lower boxes mutually abut on each opening face. A tray with a retaining means to retain electronic equipment is placed on the upper face in the lower box so as to obstruct the tray to move in the direction parallel with the inner bottom face of the lower box by an engaging means. The engaging means includes relative engaging parts equipped on the lower or side wall face of the tray and the inner face of the lower box corresponding thereto. A press member to press the electronic equipment retained on the upper face of the tray when the closed box is formed to obstruct movement of the electronic equipment and the tray is equipped on the inner wall face of the upper box.
