Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent missing of stoppage at a stop station by providing a means for switching only one start side linear motor, when short span carriage is made at start side and stop side, and performing carriage control.
CONSTITUTION: A carrier 10 comprises a truck 11, a non-magnetic conducting board 12 and wheels 13. First and second linear motors 14, 15 are arranged at the opposite sides of the conducting board 12 while facing each other. A means 16 for switching only one of the starting side motors 14, 15 is provided, when short span carriage is made, in order to start the carrier 10 at single side. By such arrangement, missing of stoppage of the vehicle 10 at a stop station can be prevented.
