To provide a circuit base material carrying device and belt therefor capable of carrying even a thin base material without any hindrance.
A belt is set round over each pair of groove-form pulleys 26 attached rotatably to each of the bodies of side frames 16 and 18 and guided by belt guides 22. A stationary base board guide 24 installed on each frame body 20 covers from above each belt 30 in their parts farthest from each other, and a plurality of supporting projections 66 installed isolatedly in the longitudinal direction are formed on the carrying part 64 of each belt 30 not covered with the guide 24, and the supporting surface 68 as assembly of the top points of the projections 66 is located between the bottom and top edges of the guide surface 62, and there a printed circuit board 58 is supported. The printed circuit board 58 is carried under guidance of the guide surface 62 with running round of the belts 30. The supporting surface 68 is positioned above the gaps between the guide 24 and belts 30 so that even a thin printed circuit board 58 will not intrude into the gaps to result in hindrance of the carriage.
