To improve production efficiency by reducing a loss in both end lug parts of food dough by automatically aligning the food dough, by detecting a side edge position of the food dough, arithmetically operating the center of the food dough on the basis of this detecting result, and laterally moving the food dough according to this operation result.
In food dough D2 transferred to a support roller 34 by passing through a manual powder removing device 20, these both side edges are respectively detected by respective sensors 35A, 35B. A distance is arithmetically operated by an operation device 36 on the basis of a detecting result to calculate the center C1 in the width direction of the food dough D2 to thereby output a rotation signal to a motor 33 so that an aligning roller 31 is moved to either of left/right directions S by this difference when a calculating position is different from the central origin C of a carrying device. Thus, the center C1 of a dough width is automatically made to coincide with the origin center C of the carrying device to reduce loss dough in both end lug parts of the food dough D2 to reduce a production cost.
