This device comprises a pair of carrying rollers 39 to carry paper, a blow part 40 to blow air toward downstream of the carrying direction, and a jam paper takeout port provided downstream of the carrying rollers 39. When a jam occurs, the takeout port is opened, the carrying rollers 39 are separated from each other, and air is blown from the blow part 40 toward downstream of the carrying direction to send jam paper toward the takeout port.
