To provide a carrying device which can substantially linearly carry a work by synchronizing a first arm and a second arm even if the carrying level thereof is different from a base, and also a large-sized carrying device using the carrying device.

A first arm 12 is disposed turnably about a first axis J1 on a base 11. A second arm 13 different from the first arm in length is disposed turnably about a second axis J2 at a distal end of the first arm 12. A hand 14 is fixed to a distal end of the second arm 13. A first motor M1 for driving the first arm 12 to reciprocally swing is disposed on the base 11. The carrying device 10 is constructed by fixing a first pinion 16 coaxially with the first axis J1 to the base 11, fixing a second pinion 17 coaxially with the second axis J2 to a basal end of the second arm 13, and slidably disposing racks 18 and 19 on the left and right sides of the first pinion 16 and the second pinion 17, respectively. The large-sized carrying device is constructed by arranging a pair of carrying devices 10, and connecting the hands 14 to each other by a carrying beam.
