To provide a carrying device for a rodlike body having high thermal efficiency in a heating furnace for heating the rod-like body, and to provide the heating furnace using the carrying device.
In this carrying device, plural oscillatingly turning shafts 1 are disposed in parallel side by side. The oscillatingly turning shaft 1 has a cam shape wherein one half circumference of a cross section perpendicular to the shaft 1 is circular and the other circumference is formed with a recessed part 7 corresponding to an outer shape of a rodlike body 2, while the turning shaft 1 is turned in one direction by a prescribed angle, then in the opposite direction by the prescribed angle. By oscillatingly turning the oscillatingly turning shaft 1, the rodlike body 2 placed on the turning shaft 1 is carried such that the rodlike body 2 is sequentially transferred from the turning shaft 1 to the adjacent turning shaft 1. Unlike a conventional circularly moving carrying means, this carrying device is not subject to repeated heat cycles of heating and cooling.
