The carrying device utilizing the carrying travelling body is provided for propelling the carrying travelling body 1 with a driven roller 34a which engages a spiral portion 41a of a screw shaft 35 supported along a travel passage for the carrying travelling body 1 so as to be delivered toward a screw shaft axial center by the rotation of the screw shaft 35. Between the screw shaft 35 and the travel passage for the carrying travelling body 1, an intermediate movable body 28 is provided movably toward the screw shaft axial center. On the intermediate movable body 28 to which the driven roller 34a is journaled, a carrying travelling body propelling pusher 33 is provided. A driven dog 23 is provided on the carrying travelling body 1 for engaging with the pusher 33 in a disengageable manner.
