PURPOSE: To continuously carry personnel and cargo by providing a carriage, a guide rail for guiding lifting of the carriage, a support shaft arranged almost in parallel to the guide rail, a carriage lifting screw wound in a spiral shape around the support shaft and a revolvingly driving device of the screw.
CONSTITUTION: This device is composed of the ascending part 1, the upper horizontally moving part 2, the descending part 3 and the lower horizontally moving part 4. The ascending part 1 is composed of a support shaft 5, bearings 6, 7 for rotatably supporting the support shaft 5, a revolvingly driving device 8 of the support shaft 5, a carriage lifting screw 9 wound in a spiral shape round the support shaft 5 and a guide rail 10 arranged almost in parallel to the support shaft 5. The descending part 3 is amost the same. After mounting personnel and a cargo on a carriage 12, the carriage 12 is slidingly engaged with the carriage lifting screw 9, the revolvingly driving device 8 is started in the next place, the carriage lifting screw 9 is rotated with the support shaft 5 as the center, and the carriage 12 is raised along the guide rail 10.
