PURPOSE: To provide a carrying device which presses and moves a carried article without holding it, can move the article only by pressing it in the carrying direction by means of the simple reciprocating action of a carrying arm with the vertical movement of the article restrained, and can smoothly carry the article in response to the requirement of a production line.
CONSTITUTION: The carry-in/out positions of a guide groove 36 are so constituted that a guide roller assembly W can be taken out, and a block 38a and the inner wall 38b of an opening section 40 are provided for those carry-in/out positions as a carrying regulation means. An arm 20 is so constituted as to be positioned at a place B which can be brought into contact with the guide roller assembly, in the carry-in position, and also as to be positioned at a place A which can not be brought into contact with the guide roller assembly in the carry-out position by the action of a tension spring 34 by rotating the arm 21 with the arm brought into contact with those control means 38a and 38b.
