To provide a carrying facility switchable between a working mode in which the total length of a predetermined passage section is used for the work and another working mode in which a mobile body is partly moved at a high speed while moving the mobile body group in a dense manner in the predetermined passage section.
A body 11 of the mobile body 10 is formed of a plurality of frame bodies 12-14, and a side surface of each frame body is formed into a passive surface 15. A feed means 70 to give the moving force to the mobile body is provided on the predetermined passage section 6 in a constant passage 5, and the feed means has a transmission unit 80 at a plurality of parts of a chain body 74. A transmission body 82 attachable/detachable to/from a rear surface 60a side of a passive unit 60 on the mobile body side, and an inertial start preventive body 83 attachable/detachable to/from a front surface 60b are provided in the transmission unit in a vertically oscillating manner. A part of the predetermined passage section forms a changed passage part 6A, and comprises a rail body 90 to disengage the passive unit by vertically oscillating the inertial start preventive body and a friction type feed means 100 which is abutted on and rotated by the passive surface.
