To provide a versatile carrying hanger device for an automobile body enabling support responding to the vehicle width direction and the height direction of various types of automobile bodies.

A height direction regulation receiving top 4 liftable and lowerable by a height direction regulation actuator 5 and a vehicle width direction regulation receiving top 7 capable of advancing and retreating by a vehicle width direction regulation actuator 8 are provided at the lower end of a support column 3 hung downward from each of four corners which are outer positions of the automobile body of a frame 2 hung on a traveling rail. The carrying hanger device is provided with a control board 24 for positioning the height direction regulation receiving top 4 and the vehicle width direction regulation receiving top 7 by operating the height direction regulation actuator 5 and the vehicle width direction regulation actuator 8 in accordance with a vehicle type detected by a vehicle type detection sensor.
