PURPOSE: To eliminate a need for an identification code reader on each equipment side for the delivery of a cargo from a carrying trolley for reducing the cost of the equipment by providing the carrying trolley with the identification code reader which reads the identification code from an identification label attached on the cargo to be carried.

CONSTITUTION: A bar code reader 26 which reads a bar code from a bar bode label 25 attached to the side face of a pallet 24 for carrying a cargo 23, is provided while being faced to a carrying face (upper surface) 21A in a carrying trolley 21 which can be self-advancing on a definite route 2 while being equipped with a transshipping means composed of paired chain conveyors 22 on its upper surface. ln addition, the carrying trolley 21 is equipped with a photo transfer device 27 while being faced to the photo transfer device of a carrying trolley controller 30. When the pallet 24 is transshipped from each picking station 11 to the carrying trolley 21 in response to a delivery command, the bar code is read out of the label of the pallet 24 by means of the bar code reader 26 for the affirmation of the number of an automatic warehouse 4 to which the pallet is stored in so that the carrying trolley 21 is thereby automatically carried in.
