To easily remove an upper lid constituting a carbon type mold for molding without deforming a molded packed food or the like in the mold and without leaving traces by blowing off the upper lid with compressed air.
This carbon type mold is obtained by forming at least two through holes in the top plate of the upper lid constituting the mold in the direction for carrying the mold, and further forming one or more through holes for sucking air in the side plates. The method for removing the upper lid, when a molded packed food or the like is taken out from the carton type mold, comprises sequentially blowing compressed air in the through holes of the top plate of the upper lid of the carton type mold during its carrying, simultaneously sucking air from the suction through holes of the side plates to float the upper lid, blowing compressed air on the lid from the sides in the next process, thus further floating the front end of the lid, blowing compressed air on the upper lid from the front side to blow away the upper lid from the received box outside the carrying line.
